Well we finally made it to Moscow... we've been here for almost 2 full days. we arrived Thursday morning at 6:00am by train. The travel agent that set up our trip here thoguht it would be a good idea to do a city tour by bus as soon as we got here... bad idea, most of us slept right through it... what do you expect from a bunch of college kids? We did the city tour and then went and checked in to our motel and spent a little while checking out the resteraunts and supermarkets around us and then we watched Russia vs. Spain Semi-finals Soccer match in the hotel.....Spain won but Russia was still going crazy in the streets for hours after the match... cars honking people dancing in the streets, chanting... it was awesome.
from our hotel balcony we can see 3 nuclear power plants... how interesting is that? This city isn't quite as tourist friendly but we have a good guide. today we visited the Kremlin. How many of you ever expected that the next generation would hardly even know what the Kremlin was much less walk through it? We visited a couple Cathedrals and walked through Red Square. Problem is that last night i charged my camera battery and forgot to return it to my camera so i didn't have it at all during the trip.... i would do something like that. We return to Red square tomorrow so i'll take pictures then. This city isn't as beautiful as St. Peter. but thats because it is an industrial business city vs. the tourism in St. Pete's. I don't know what else to tell you! we are here and safe. i don't know when i'll have access to the internet again. We happened upon this place and it is a ways from where we are staying but near red square so we may return tomorrow.
have a good night! - kait

Welcome back, I missed you. Surely some of the other 19 students have pictures they will share. Truely a trip of a lifetime. It is almost over, a very fast month, even in Texas. Enjoy the next few days. We're waiting on you.
